The meeting is set for 6:00 p.m. on April 22. Public invited.

The propose of the meeting is threefold.
  • Advise citizens of the impact that the Southeast Connector project (287/820/I-20) may have on Kennedale. TxDOT has been evaluating the design,

    construction and maintenance of a project to reconstruct and widen I-20 from

    Forest Hill Drive to Park Springs Boulevard, I-820 from I-20 to Brentwood Stair

    Road, and US 287 from Bishop Street to Sublett Road in Tarrant County,

    including interchanges (Southeast Connector Project).

  • Inform citizens of possible improvements to Kennedale Parkway as a ?complete street? project for which we are seeking planning assistance from the COG, and?
  • Review status of the Safe Routes to Schools plan. Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is an approach that

    promotes walking and bicycling to school through infrastructure improvements,

    enforcement, tools, safety education, and incentives to encourage walking and

    bicycling to school. Nationally, 10%?14% of car trips during morning rush hour

    are for school travel.
