George Campbell of Arlington has been appointed to serve as the interim city manager for the City of Kennedale in council action Monday night. {{more:Read more …}}
 
The current city manager, Bob Hart, accepted the position of City Manager for the City of Corinth last month. Hart?s last day for Kennedale is this Friday, January 27, 2017. Hart moved to Kennedale after accepting the top job at City Hall almost 10 years ago.
 
Campell?s resume shows a lifetime of public experience most in city government. Campbell began his municipal government career in 1970 as the Administrative Assistant to City Manager and Director of Personnel in Pampa, Texas. He has served as the city manager for Coppell, Weatherford, Arlington and Denton. He most recently served as interim for the Dalingworthington Gardens.
 
The Kennedale City Council has started the process of filling the opening with a nationwide search.
 
Campbell, 72, is also is interested in the permanent position with Kennedale.
