Kennedale (14-2) who capped another record breaking season as the state runner-ups in Class 4A Division I Football on Friday, has placed nine Wildcats on the Associated Press 4A All-State football teams. {{more: continue …}}

The group included one four time all-state player and another who has been named twice in his career. Seven of the players are graduating seniors. One is a junior and one is just starting his career as a freshman. Four are on offense and four are defensive players plus one special teams player.?

Earning honors this year:

Andrew Flanagan (Sr), 1st Team Offense, has made All-State every year since starting in his freshman year, an integral part of the offensive line which smoothed the way for the Wildcats to averaged 54.5 points and 350 rushing yards per game.

JD Coffey (Fr) 1st Team Defense – 53 tackles, 5 interceptions, one for TDs, 8 TFL and two pass breakups

Jaden Knowles, (Sr) 2nd Team, Running Back, 2.200 yards, 12.2 average, 146.7 per game 34 touchdowns

Brett Bostad (Sr) Honorable Mention, Center, central part of an offense that averaged 466 yards per game, 9.9 yards per rush, 82.6% fourth downs efficiency and 112 touchdowns.

DJ Kirven (Jr) Honorable Mention, Running Back, 2,190 yards, 10.7 average, 146.1 per game, 43 touchdowns.

Ector Rivera (Sr) Honorable Mention, Linebacker, also named in his sophomore year, 148 tackles 9.9 per game, 21 tackles for loss, 6 sacks

Larry Brooks (Sr) Honorable Mention, Defensive Back, 154 tackles, 10.3 per game, 15 for loss, 2 sacks, 4 interceptions

Mayfield Hayes (Sr) Honorable Mention, Defensive Back, 63 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 interceptions, 2 caused fumbles.
