The Kennedale Wildcats (5-3, 3-0) in recent weeks, have resurrected their good name with three straight wins that showcased their early season potential. {{more:Read more …}}
 
The Cats now have a lock on a 5th consecutive district title and are already assured a playoff bid. In the past three weeks the Wildcats knocked off two legitimate district teams with claims on the title,Springtown and Mineral Wells, leaving Kennedale alone at the top in District 5-4A. There are just two games left in the regular season.
 
This week Kennedale faces off against the Castleberry Lions (1-7, 1-3). As the record indicates the Lions are struggling this year with their only win coming against Diamond Hill (0-8, 0-4). Next week, the regular season will concluded with a road trip to Lake Worth (3-5, 2-1).
 
Busy night, lots to see …
 

There will be a lot going on tonight though. First responders and military in both active and former service will be honored with free admission tonight game with proper ID. It is also Senior Night since it is the last home game of the season. High school seniors involved in football related activities i.e. football, band, cheerleaders, drill team and their parents will be recognized.

 
And finally, the Kennedale Marching Wildcat Band will be performing their full competition show immediately after the game tonight. Kennedale is trying for its sixth straight trip to the UIL State Marching finals in November.
 
 
Tomorrow, they are headed out to Belton, Texas to perform in area competitions. Tonight will give them a chance to have a full dress rehersal before a crowd.
