Standings for the UIL Lone Star Cup are compiled via a year-long accumulation of points based on team success at the district and state level in the UIL activities and are awarded by classifications.
 
Non-Athletic Competitions include BOYS & GIRLS (CO-ED) Marching Band, One-Act Play and State Academic Meet.
 
Team Sports include BOYS ? Baseball, Basketball, Football and Soccer; GIRLS ? Basketball, Soccer, Softball and Volleyball. Individual Sports include Boys – Cross Country, Golf, Tennis, Track and Field, Swimming and Wrestling; GIRLS – Cross Country, Golf, Tennis, Track and Field, Swimming and Wrestling. BOYS & GIRLS (CO-ED) – Team Tennis.

Kennedale has placed in the top four the past three years: 2013 – 2nd place, 2014 – 3rd place and 2015 – 4th place. In past years, Kennedale finished 4th in 2011 and tied for 3rd in 2008. Argyle has won the last four Lone Star Cups.
