Kennedale teams swamp Lake Worth teams 9-0 Tuesday

Rare do two completely programs play on the same day and rarer still is it that there is a win by each of the programs including each sub varsity team. {{more:Read more …}}
 
Male and female companion sports schedule district games together whenever possible, i.e. girls and boys basketball, ditto for boys and girls soccer, softball and baseball and even volleyball and football. But for a completely different sport to be added to the mix on the same night, that is very unusual.
 
Lake Worth was flooded …
 

Last night Lake Worth was flooded not only by the Kennedale boys and girls basketball teams but also by the girls and boys soccer teams.

 
It is something that the Lake Worth program is probably not anxious to see again.
 
At the varsity level …
  • the LadyKat soccer team (8-0-1, 1-0 and currently ranked # 1 in the state) won their 1st district game by a score of 8-0;
  • the Wildcat soccer team (4-5-1, 1-0) won on PK?s 5-4 after a tie at 0-0 in their first district game;
  • the Lady Kat basketball team (31-3, 12-0)currently ranked #2 in the state) completed a sweep of district and a district championship by winning 88-14; and
  • the Wildcat basketball team (21-10, 10-0 and ranked #8 in the dfwVarsity Area) won 51-41 and have clinched at least a share of the district with two games left to play.
At the sub-varsity level …
  • the Junior Varsity (JV) soccer team won 3-0;
  • the Wildcat JV basketball team won 70-32;
  • 9th Grade Wildcat basketball team by 60-31;
  • the LadyKat JV basketball team won 67-12;
  • the Lady Kat 9th grade won by a similar score.
