On May 4, 2019, after the dust had settled on five contested local races, a winner was apparent in all but one. In Kennedale City Council Place 3, the incumbent Sandra Lee was locked in a tie with challenger Cesar Guerra. {{more: continue …}}

A total of 766 votes were cast in the election for Place 3 and a split down the middle gave each candidate 388 votes. A recount did not alter the result. So a runoff election has been set for next month.

Runoff elections dates in Tarrant County,

including Kennedale?s one race, have been set.

Election day is Saturday, June 8th from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will also early voting available for

these special elections.

Early voting opportunities will run for eight

days and will include one weekend. It will start on Tuesday, May 28 and run

until Tuesday, June 4 with chances to vote early and late (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) on

3 days and even includes a Sunday date for the very busy.

    5:00 p.m.)

  • Saturday, June 1 (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.)
  • Sunday, June 2 (11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)

Board Place 4. For KISD Board Place 5,

Andrew Biscoe with 485 votes beat out Felicia Moody (352 votes), Deborah Harris

(293 votes and Damian Patton (54 votes).

For Kennedale Council Place 1, Josh

Altom defeated Jeff Nevarez 401 to 373. And for Kennedale Council Place 5, Chad

Wandel won over Idin Deljavan 462 to 274.
