Ruston,?La. ? One day after being named the

Co-Player of the Week by Conference USA, Louisiana Tech senior outfielder

Jazlyn Crowder picked up her second award in as many days. {{more: continue …}}

Crowder was named the USA Softball Collegiate National Player of the

Week for her efforts in leading the Lady Techsters to four wins, including a

three-game sweep over Charlotte in Conference USA action. She is the first LA

Tech player to ever win this national award.

Athletic Bio?- (Source LA Tech Softball) …

High School: Played at Kennedale High School,

lettering all four years for coach Amy Prater and Chris Reue … Led team to

the district title three of the four years … Advanced to the state

quarterfinals three of the four years … Named district Newcomer of the Year

as a freshman … Named district offensive and defensive player of the year on

separate occasions … Named the district MVP and all-state team as a senior

Personal: Daughter of Christy Crowder … Has two

sisters, Lauren Goss and Kara Crowder and one brother, Davin Thompson.
