Kennedale won in straight sets on Tuesday by 25-14, 25-14 and 25-21. Kennedale moved to 17-23 overall and 11-1 in district play.
Castleberry dropped into a 3rd place tie in District 7-4A at with Benbrook with a district record of 7-5. Benbrook and Castleberry finished 7-5 and like Springtown and Kennedale split wins this season.
To determine seeding for the playoff brackets, Kennedale and Springtown will play a one game match this Friday, October 28, at 4:30 p.m. in Springtown, (location determined by a coin flip). 2017 Volleyball bracket
Senior Night …It was Senior Night Tuesday night with Kennedale honoring the sole senior on the team this year, Noah Dixon. She has played a key role on this team in stats and leadership.
Season stats prior to the last two games Dixon is
- tied with 3 others in the most sets played at 114 for the year;
- 2nd on the team with 204 kills;
- 2nd on team in digs at 305;
- 2nd in total receptions with 441;
- 3rd in ball handling attempts at 493;
- 4th in total serves at 300;
- 4th in total blocks at 30;
- 5th on team in hitting % at .153, and,
- 5th in total aces at 24.
