Lady Kats overwhelm Mansfield Summit 8-0 in Bi-District win

Tuesday night the Kennedale Lady Kats (18-5-1) stepped confidently into the state 4A soccer playoffs by defeating Mansfield Summit 8-0. The Lady Kats are Kennedale?s first district winner in soccer, boys or girls. Tuesday night they showed how they did it. {{more}}
 
Senior Skylar Crowley recorded the shutout. Four players made goals but doubling the rest was Alondra Olmos with 4. Allie Thornton followed with 2 goals and Abby Olmos along with Lauren Otts each had 1 goal.

Providing the assist were Abby Key and Allie Thornton, each with 2. Abby Olmos, Alondra Olmos and Taylor Bush all had 1 apiece.
 
Kennedale now moves on to Area playoffs to play Fort Worth Trimble Tech (15-5-1 according to Star Telegram) Friday night at Kennedale High School Wildcat Stadium beginning at 6:30 p.m. Trimble Tech was a 4-2 winner over Fort Worth Northside Tuesday.
 
Soccer rarely brings out a crowd especially at Kennedale. But the Lady Kats are hoping to attract a football size crowd as they try to go where no other team has gone. They are calling for Kennedale fans come and to cheer for them. It is Kennedale Soccer Night Friday at Wildcat Stadium. Wear green and come join the crowd.
