Keep Texas Beautiful Youth and Educator Awards were given June 19th in San Antonio. Among the winners was Krystin Sanders of Kennedale, placing 3rd in the Ruthe Jackson Youth Leadership Awards.

The KTB Youth & Educator Awards honor extraordinary students, educators and volunteers working to improve and beautify their communities. Awards are given in a number of categories, to elementary through college-level youth as well as educators and youth organizers. The deadline to get 2014 applications in is May 6, 2014. {{more}}

Ruthe Jackson Youth Leadership Awards:

This honor recognizes the outstanding efforts made by youth whose accomplishments are bringing about cleaner, more beautiful campuses, parks and communities, thus making Texas a better place to live. In addition to the award recognition, a $100 cash prize is presented to the first place winners at our ?Annual Conference.
