Local students awarded UTA scholarships for 2017-18

The University of Texas at Arlington has announced students scholarship recipients for the 2017-18 academic year. Seven are from Kennedale. {{more: read more … }}

The seven students represent Kennedale High School and several other private schools in the area.
 
The students who were awarded the scholarships are:
  • Zachary Berry, Presidential Scholar
  • Shawn Dow, Maverick Academic Scholarship
  • Jacob Mahjoub, Maverick Academic Scholarship
  • Sydney Michener, Maverick Academic Scholarship
  • Deanna Thomson, Maverick Academic Scholarship
  • Marissa Vinson, Maverick Academic Scholarship
  • Kaci Wright, Maverick Academic Scholarship

The students join the largest and most academically accomplished incoming freshman class in UTA’s history.
