Griffin Glaude claimed the conference’s honor a week ago, and this week it was Braswell taking the award after another strong performance on the season. The 6-1, 170-lb. senior and transfer from LeTourneau University (Kennedale, Texas) made his sixth appearance of the young season against the Lions, while posting his fifth consecutive victory on the hill, to improve to 5-1 overall. His five victories ranks 21st in the nation among NAIA pitchers.

Braswell owns a 2.41 earned run average on the season, which is the top for any pitcher on the Lyon staff with 22 or more innings pitched. He has a team-best 33.2 innings pitched on the year, with two complete games. He also has 15 strikeouts.

Justin was a starter on the 2011 Kennedale HS State Championship baseball team.
