SAN ANGELO, Texas ? The Angelo State baseball team had six players earn all-Lone Star Conference honors on Wednesday, led by first-team selections Blake Bass, Tyler Coughenour and Cameron Massengill. {{more}}

Massengill was named a first-team catcher and enters the postseason on a team-leading 10-game hitting streak and a .329 batting average in his first season at ASU. Massengill, a junior from Kennedale, started 43 games at catcher.

Cameron is listed as 6’2, 200 lbs on the roster. He was instrumental in Kennedale’s run to the state title in 2010, hitting .463 with 59 RBIs. He is the son of Shari and Glen Massengill.

Hayden Elrod

Massengill is joined on the Angelo State baseball team by KHS teammate Hayden Elrod, who is listed as 5’10, 170 lbs pitcher. Hayden was a pitcher on the KHS state championship team, winning MVP honors. He is the son of Amy and Tommy Elrod.
