Danner will not be traveling far as he has been a resident of Kennedale for several years.

Between 2013 and 2017, the Danner-led Lady Panthers compiled 71-13-8 overall and 42-9-8 district records in the University Interscholastic League 5A and 6A classifications. During the 2014-15 season, the Lady Panthers went 12-0 in District 8-6A, were ranked eighth in the state and No. 79 nationally by CBS Sports? affiliate MaxPreps and reached the area round of the postseason.
 
They reached the bi-district round in 2016-17, the area round in both the 2015-16 and 2014-15 seasons and the regional quarterfinal round in 2013-14.
 
Under Danner, Midlothian girls? soccer finished first in their district once and second twice. The 2016-17 season fourth place finish behind Mansfield Legacy, Mansfield Lake Ridge and Red Oak High Schools was the lowest during his tenure. The 2015 season set a school record when it went undefeated during district play.
 
Strange announced earlier this spring that he would be staying at Kennedale as a teacher but not as a coach, saying that he wanted to spend more time with his family. Read more at Stepping away for more family time
