The first scrimmage this year will be against Waco LaVega at Waco on August 17 but a? look at the Kennedale football schedule and you got to say that it doesn?t get much easier than this, travelwise. Take away that one only real road trip to Waco? (90 miles south), the rest is just a piece of cake.

Kennedale faces 12 opponents, counting two scrimmages this year. Six are home games, two are next door at Clark Stadium just 8 miles away, another game is at FWISD Handley Field less than 10 miles up Loop 820. Two other games are just a skip and a hop down US 287 to Midlothian Heritage (23 miles) and Alvarado ISD Head Stadium (25 miles).

Next year in the swap of home and away games, Kennedale will swap travel time south to Waco, Alvarado and Heritage for more miles up north and west to visit Springtown (50 miles) and Decatur (52 miles) and then a trip to Castleberry (20-23 miles). It all equal out.?
