Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Saturday as Kennedale outscored Princeton 12-8 in seven innings. The teams banged out 25 hits hits between them, as well as six for extra bases.?

Princeton up the ante by scoring 4 runs and tying the game at 8-8. The Cats kept the lead at the end of the inning by scoring two runs of a single by Brett Taylor, a single by Josh Taylor, a ground out by Austin Hunt that advance the runner and a fly ball by Coltharp that produce an error scoring a runner. The Cats ahead by 10-8.

After not allowing Princeton to score in the 5th, Kennedale added an insurance score in the bottom of the ending with a triple by Zac Michener followed by a Brett Taylor single. ? Princeton didn’t add another score the rest of the game while the Wildcats would add one more in the bottom of the 6th after Coltharp hit a double, Taylor Smith flied out to left field but advance Coltharp and then Jake Michener hit a sacrifice that scored Coltharp.

Jake Michener racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Kennedale. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the first and third innings. Josh Taylor got the win in relief for the Wildcats. He pitched four innings and allowed one run.

The Kennedale Varsity hammered Princeton pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 14 hits, eight RBIs and eight runs scored.
