Members of the Class of 2020 …?

James Cain, son of Brian and Heather Cain, will attend the University of North Texas, where he will major in Business.?

James received a $16,000 academic scholarship from UNT. James was a member of the Wildcat basketball team for 4 years and was on the Wildcat varsity team his last 2 years. James earned acceptance into the KHS National Honor Society, and he is an Honor Graduate.

Danielle Cooper, daughter of Alicia Conley, will attend Hardin-Simmons University.?

She received a $48,000 Academic Scholarship. Danielle is a 2-year State Qualifier in Track. Danielle was a member of the Lady Kat Varsity Basketball Team.?

TaylorAnn Fandrich, daughter of Michael and Renee Fandrich, will attend Texas Christian University, where she will enroll in the College of Education.?

Taylor will major in Early Childhood Education and Child Development. Taylor wants to be an elementary school teacher and, eventually, a child life specialist. To date, Taylor has received over $51,000 in scholarships to attend TCU. According to her mother, ?Taylor always wanted to be a teacher (and a Horned Frog) and loved working with kids from volunteering at camp, church activities, or time spent with her nieces and nephews. Her passion grew through experiences in STOK and being able to build relationships with students. She learned from other teachers as well as Coach Jenkins.?Taylor is a product of the KHS CTE Human Services Education program. Taylor participated in the Student Teachers of Kennedale program for two years in the CTE Education Practicum. Taylor is a Senior Class Officer and was a member of the KHS Student Council for four years. Taylor received a Wildcat Pride Award her freshmen year. Taylor lives to serve others. She is a member of the Key Club and was named an Exemplary Key Club member at the end of her junior year. On top of her service at school and in the community, Taylor volunteers with various activities for children at her church. Taylor earned acceptance into the KHS National Honors Society, and she is an Honor Graduate.

Keghan McGee, son of Leslie and Dan Shields, has enlisted in the United States Army.?

Keghan wants to become a member of the Military Police. Keghan is an Honor Graduate, and he is a natural leader with high moral character and integrity. Keghan ships out in June 2020 and will make his impact on the world as a soldier.?

Ryan Roller, son of Nina and Randy Roller, will attend The University of Texas at Austin.?

Ryan is an Honor Graduate in the KHS Class of 2020. While at KHS, Ryan participated in many activities. He earned acceptance into the National Honor Society and is presently the Secretary. He is a member of Student Council, Key Club, Ignite Club, and YAC (Youth Advisory Council for the City of Kennedale). Ryan has also been mentoring to Kennedale students, for the last two years, as a PAL in the KHS CTE Human Services program. Ryan is a 4-year member of the KHS Tennis and Baseball Teams. He was the #1 Varsity Men?s Singles Tennis player each year. Ryan won several tournaments and twice qualified for Regionals. He was a pitcher and outfielder on the Wildcat Baseball team, going to playoffs each year. Ryan is a trumpet player in the Wildcat Marching Band and 2-time State Qualifier. The Wildcat Band placed 8th his Freshmen year and 5th his Junior year at the UIL State Marching Band Contests.

Joy Sikes, daughter of Chad and Laurie Sikes, will attend the University of North Texas, where she will major in Interior Design?

Joy was awarded the UNT Dean?s Scholarship, for which she received $32,000 ($8,000 per year). Joy is talented artist, and she developed her passion for art in Ms. Cullum?s art classes. Joy volunteers with her church, assisting with Sunday School and kids? camps for several years. Joy earned acceptance into the KHS National Honor Society. She is a Top 10% and Honors Graduate.
