The following were part of the incidents reports made over the past three weeks by the Kennedale Police Department for the period from May 14 – June 4. {{more:[read more]}}

05/16 ? Forged/Altered Prescription ? 300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 4:10 p.m. officers responded to a report of a male attempting to pass a forged prescription. The document was presented for fill and the pharmacist contacted the listed doctor to verify its validity. The doctor stated that they did not issue the prescription and the suspect was arrested on scene.

05/16 – Theft $30,000 to $150,000 ? 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 4:05 p.m. a store manager stated that a female suspect entered the store and began working as an employee. The suspect was dressed in full uniform and knew the store procedures but may not be an actual current company employee. The employee was observed on video taking a large amount of cash from the registers and safe, and fleeing from the store property to a waiting vehicle.

05/21 ? Assault by Threat ? 6700 block of Hudson Village Creek Road: At 10:00 p.m. officers working at Kennedale Speedway Park observed a confrontation in progress. A male was threatening four individuals with an electronic Taser-type device. The male had confronted the group over a parking place and an argument ensued. The male was arrested for threatening the unarmed group

 
05/22 ? Theft $100 to $750 ? 5600 block of E. I-20: At 6:37 p.m. a victim reported that his cell phone was taken from a shopping cart while he and his wife were at the Goodwill store. An attempt to locate the phone at the store was unsuccessful.

05/22 ? DWI ? 700 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 9:02 p.m. an officer responded to a DWI complaint. The complaint was on a vehicle travelling east on Kennedale Parkway. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the 33 year old male driver. The male began to convulse and lose consciousness during the stop and medics were contacted to respond. The male was transported to Mansfield Methodist Hospital for treatment. He checked himself out before a blood warrant could be signed and served. The DWI paperwork was completed along with a witness statement so that a case may be filed later.

05/23 ? Burglary ? 5800 block of Eden Road: At 9:30 a.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown had entered his work shop and removed tools valued at $1315.00. Two doors and the side of the metal building all showed signs of tampering, but the point of entry could not be undetermined.

05/24 ? Theft $100 to $750 ? 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 9:00 a.m. a victim reported that her $600.00 cell phone was stolen from a locker room at the high school.

05/25 ? Death Investigation ? 800 block of Shady Bend Drive: At 9:08 a.m. officers responded to assist the fire department on a deceased person call. The victim, a 37 year old female, was found deceased in bed. No signs of foul play were evident and the deceased was removed by personnel from the medical examiner?s office.

05/26 ? Medical Incident ? 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:05 p.m. officers responded to an unresponsive male in a public bathroom. On arrival officer found the male unconscious and not breathing. After CPR the male responded by breathing on his own. The victim was in possession of narcotics paraphernalia as well as stolen credit cards from an offense in Burleson. The male was transported to Methodist Mansfield Hospital for treatment. The stolen items were placed in evidence to be held for Burleson detectives.

05/26 ? Theft $100 to $750 ? 6300 block of Tealcove Drive: At 12:33 a.m. a victim reported that $600.00 worth of CDs was taken from her apartment. The victim stated that the property was missing after a service person was in the apartment doing work.

05/26 ? Vehicle Burglary ? 400 block of 3rd Street: At 5:15 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown entered his 2015 Chevrolet work van and removed $2,337.00 worth of tools. The victim stated that the vehicle was locked but no forced entry was observed.

05/28 ? Criminal Mischief ? 600 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 3:07 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown spray painted her mobile home. The victim is in a dispute with her landlord and believes he may have committed the offense. The damage was estimated at $50.00.

05/29 ? Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon ? 1100 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:13 p.m. officers responded to a complaint of narcotics dealing at a private event venue. On arrival the officers spoke to the person named in the complaint call. While being interviewed the suspect, an adult male, consented to a search of his person and vehicle. A loaded .38 caliber handgun, marijuana, and prescription narcotics were found in the vehicle. The suspect was arrested and transported to jail for booking.

 
05/31 ? Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information ? 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:04 a.m. a victim reported that her vehicle was burglarized in Fort Worth and her credit card was stolen. The card was used at a store in Kennedale to make a purchase. The suspects, two males, were recorded on the store?s surveillance system as was the vehicle they were driving. That video was provided to police for further investigation.

06/01 ? Theft $100 to $750 ? 500 block of North Road: At 4:58 p.m. a victim reported that his $600.00 cell phone was taken the day before from his home. There were several persons in the home during that day and all are considered suspects. The victim provided a list of suspect names.

06/01 ? Hit and Run Accident ? 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 9:59 p.m. an officer responded to a hit and run report that occurred on Kennedale Parkway. The officer was requested to respond to 5800 Berry Street in Fort Worth for the report. The victim driver was struck on the parkway by the juvenile male suspect, who refused to stop because he had no driver?s license. The victim followed the suspect to Fort Worth where he wrecked out. Fort Worth police responded and secured the scene for Kennedale. The suspect?s parents were contacted to respond and pick him up. He was remanded to their custody after a report was completed.

06/03 ? Possession of Controlled Substance ? 5600 block of E. I-20: At 5:31 p.m. officers responded to a theft in progress at Goodwill. A female suspect was contacted getting into her vehicle without the merchandise she had tried to steal. The female had a marijuana pipe on her person and a small bag of methamphetamine in her vehicle. She also had an arrest warrant for theft issued by Tarrant County. The suspect was transported to jail for booking and the vehicle was impounded.

06/03 ? Assault Bodily Injury ? 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:07 p.m. officers responded to a fight in progress call at an indoor soccer facility. A player had assaulted a referee during a game. The player was no longer on scene. The assault was caught on video and the video was given to the responding officers. The referee refused treatment and transport but did exhibit minor injuries.

06/04 ? Abandoned/Found Property ? 600 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: AT 7:57 a.m. an officer received a cell phone that was found on a city street. The phone owner could not be located and the phone was placed in property for safe-keeping.
