We as Texans love our guns, but are we responsible gun owners? I would like to think most are. Over a span of a couple of weeks, we have had a couple of guns stolen from vehicles.
 
Leaving a gun inside a vehicle is risky, and the risk becomes higher if you park your vehicle on the street. But the biggest risk of all is if you do not secure your vehicle.
 
Statistics show most vehicle thefts are crimes of opportunity, and usually are juveniles. With the summer approaching, I would recommend not leaving your gun inside the vehicle.
 
If you are a gun owner please write down the serial number, and store it in a safe place.
