Ronald Loye Burns of Mount Pleasant, Texas passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 66 years of age. He was born July 28, 1949 in Morton, Texas to Robert and Annie Belle (Caplinger) Burns. {{more}}
Ron was a member of the Southside Church of Christ. and a retired High School Principal. He graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelors of Music and served as band director in Deleon, Texas, Fairfield, Texas and Kennedale, Texas. He received his Masters of Music Education at Sam Houston and then earned his Masters in Mid-Management from the University of North Texas. He was a Junior High Principal for Kennedale, Rogers and Moody ISD’S, and earned his superintendent certification from Texas A&M University.
He leaves his wife, Mary J. Burns of Mount Pleasant, Texas; their children, Wendy and her husband, Kasey McGraw of Blooming Grove, Texas, and Ashley and her husband, Derek Seeling of Fredericksburg, Texas; five grandchildren, Seth McGraw, Brooke McGraw, Janey McGraw, Madilyn Seelig and Gus Seelig; one sister, Leveda Glass. He is preceded in death by his parents.
