As of the Friday deadline, the Kennedale School Board will have a contested election with an incumbent and a challenger for the election schedule for May 7. {{more: [Read full story]}}
 
There were two positions open for election this year, Place 4, currently held by {{t2:Janet Adams:}} and Place 5, held by {{t2:Stewart Richardson: }}.

Adams moved out of the district, making her ineligible to file again. {{t2:John Clark: }} filed for Place 4, becoming the only candidate for that position.

Place 5 drew two candidates. Richardson filed for re-election and drew opponent, {{t2:Jack Dalrymple: }} of 1008 Oak Ridge Court in Kennedale. Dalrymple is a businessman and a former U.S. navy captain. Richardson will be running for his second three term on the school board.
 
Early voting starts April 25 …
 
Thursday night, the Kennedale ISD School Board called an election for May 7, 2016. Early voting begins April 25 and continues until May 3; regular business hours (8-5) April 25-29, Saturday, April 30 (7-7); Sunday, May 1 (11-4); and, May 2 & 3 (7-7).
 
Early voting can be done at any Tarrant County polling place including the Kennedale Community Center next door to the Kennedale Library at Election Day May 7 …
 
On Election Day voting for Kennedale school district and the City of Kennedale will done at the Kennedale Community Center from 7 am to 7 pm.
