School Board filing for the May election began, Wednesday, January 16, 2019. The deadline to file for a place on the ballot is Friday, February 15, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.

Currently there are just two candidates that have filed. In Place 4, John Clark has filed for re-election along with Tamiko Sargent. No one had filed for Place 5 to date.

The election is held the first Saturday of the month in May: Saturday, May 4, 2019.?

Interested candidates may pick up an application to complete at the Kennedale ISD Administration Building, 120 W. Kennedale Pkwy., Kennedale, Texas 76060.

Applications may be returned during regular business hours. KISD is open Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

House Bill

484 amends Election Code Section 141.001 to provide a new general rule (for

most offices) that a candidate must be a registered voter of the territory

elected from as of the filing deadline (unless outside law conflicts).
