Statewide, Kennedale has remained on top of Class 4A in the rankings at #1 (Texas Girls Coaches Association). The rest of the top ten is #2 Bellville 15-0-1, #3 Giddings 18-0-1, #4 Jasper 17-1-0, #5 Abilene Wylie 16-1-2, #6 Lorena 15-2-0, #7 Boerne 13-2-1, #8 Argyle 14-2-4, #9 Brazosport 13-1-1, #10 Salado 12-4-1.
The Kats will hold their annual Senior Night to recognize seniors on the team and their parents. They will be hosting 3rd place Castleberry (9-3-6, 5-1-2) who is just behind Diamond Hill at 22 points.
Just how good ?
Overall, they have had 95 goals off of 231 shots on goal, recorded 76 assist for a total point score of 266. The Kats have allowed only 3 total goals on 73 shots on goal with an average of 4.1 saves per match.
If Kennedale?s stats were included in the MaxPreps Girls Spring 2017 national stats, Kennedale would lead the nation in goals, assist and points at this juncture in the season. This year Kennedale will not be hosting the regional
tournament. The Region 1 tournament for Class 4A will be played at the Birdville Fine
Arts/Athletic Complex in North Richland Hills.
