A Friday evening of fun at the park with Elvis impersonator Wade Lentz and the songs of Patsy Cline performed by Kay Young along with Karote Under the Stars. Free and open to the public at the Kennedale TownCenter Park, 6-10pm. Bring a lawn chair or spread out a blanket and enjoy. Concessions available provided by the local Boy Scout troop. Playoff Excitement …
 
The Lady Kats Softball team will be playing in Haslet Friday and Saturday against Mineral Wells in an Area round game at VR Eaton High School. details The Wildcat Baseball team will be playing a first round playoff series vs Decatur with the first game Friday 7:30 pm at Decatur High School but will return home to play the second and the third game, if needed, at Kennedale High School beginning at 5 pm. details
 
National Lemonade Day …
 
Saturday is Lemonade Day, a national effort to help children set up lemonade stands and gain some financial literacy. One million kids nationwide will join in this project started in Houston. Kids can go to https://dallas.lemonadeday.org to register for materials and brand a stand; adults can sign up to volunteer or mentor a child.

East Main St Art and Music Festival ? two blocks of local

After brunch, treat Mom to a tour of one of the area?s best vintage neighborhoods. The Fairmount Tour of Homes, with five houses and other properties on Fort Worth?s near south side, opens with a parade and continues noon-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. $15-$20 at historicfairmount.com and Butler?s Antiques, Old Home Supply, Old Neighborhood Grill or SiNaCa Studios. Over in Dallas, the Swiss Avenue Mother?s Day Home Tour offers peeks inside six early-20th-century houses plus an art fair, a children?s area, a vintage car display and horse-drawn carriage rides. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, noon-6 p.m. Sunday. $20-$25, free for ages 12 and younger. www.sahd.org.

 
Cinco de Mayo Festival …
 
Trader’s Village – Saturday, Noon to 5 pm. Celebrating Mexico’s 1862 victory over the Frenc at the Battle of Puebla, now called Cinco de Mayo. Live music from popular bands on the Big Red Patio. Free but parking is $4. Market opens at 10 am.
