State Champion Soccer Team raising funds for tribute via private donations

Members of the Kennedale two time state champion soccer team are trying to raise money for a special tribute to the two teams that won it all in 2015 and 2016. {{more:[Full Story]}}
 
The monument would be a granite marker placed on the campus of Kennedale High School similar to the one that is located at the KHS Softball field that recognizes the KHS state championship softball teams of 1999 and 2001.
 
Funds will be raised by private donations and school district funds will not be used.
 
The goal is to raise $5,000. As of Monday morning, June 8, 2016, the fund on SNAP Raise has received $2045 from 24 supporters. The fund drive organizers have set a deadline of June 28 to raise the needed funds.
 
The Kennedale LadyKat Soccer program has accomplished a unique milestone that can never be achieved by another team in their classification when they won the first two state championships offered by Class 4A UIL girls soccer. They are the gold standard by which future programs statewide in their classification will be measured.
 
For Kennedale this is the only UIL recognized sport to win back to back championships in the school history. Read
