In February, SMU announced the Fall 2018 Honor Roll. Allie, a junior at SMU, made the list for students who were in the top 15% based on their reported GPA. Thornton is an Applied

Physiology and Health Management major. Allie was one of just 40 athletes at SMU to make the list.

Earlier in January, the All-American Athletic Conference announced the All-Conference 2018 Team. Four from SMU were named to the team including Thornton who made the 1st Team.? This was Allie’s third year in row to make All-Conference, 1st Team.

Thornton, who has started in every game since her freshman year at SMU (42 of 42 games), was first named in her first year in 2016, as well as, making the All-Rookie team and the AAC All-Tounmaent Team. She was named again in her sophomore year. Thornton’s four game-winning goals were second in the conference for the fall regular season. She ended the season with 10 goals.

Allie was a 2016 top 10% graduate of Kennedale High School where she helped lead the LadyKat soccer team to back to back state championships. She was named to the state All-Tournament Team in 2015, MVP for the title game, 2016 DFW Female Athlete of the Year. She had 42 goals and 21 assist to close out her senior year at Kennedale.?
