Turner Receives Keep Texas Beautiful Educator Award

Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) announced Wilda Turner as a winner of the 2015 Educator Award on Monday, May 18. This award is one of twelve categories in the Keep Texas Beautiful Youth & Educator Awards and recognizes outstanding leadership and education in their community. {{more}}

Each year, Keep Texas Beautiful recognizes the efforts of young people, educators and educational institutions that promote beautification, waste reduction and litter prevention through environmental education and community activism. Wilda has donated countless hours to teaching others about gardening, composting, and liter control, through service in the Keep

Kennedale Beautiful Commission and many years as a Master Garden of Ft. Worth, TX.

Wilda Turner also writes a popular blog and was one of the first to ?adopted a spot?

Wilda also writes a widely read facebook blog on the community Keep Kennedale Beautiful Facebook , ?Wilda?s Wisdom.? Through her quick wit and vast knowledge of gardening, she encourages others to beautify their own yards, get down to earth, so to speak, dig in the dirt, and have fun doing it!
