Wadley was in El Paso over the weekend on his official visit, and committed earlier this morning.

After rushing for 2,511 yards and 45 touchdowns this past season, Wadley was named to the Associated Press Texas Class 4A All-State football first team, and was selected as 4A’s offensive player of the year for his big senior season.

UTEP was the first to offer Wadley back in early October, and he will join another former Kennedale Wildcat at UTEP in red shirt freshman offensive lineman Chance Bishop who signed with the Miners in 2015.

Kennedale went 12-1 this past year with a third round trip in the Texas 4A state playoffs behind some monster games by Wadley.

He ran for over 300-yards twice last season, with a season high 389 yards in the season opener. Wadley ran for 385 yards and six touchdowns against Dallas Carter. The 6’1 180 pounder would then scored seven touchdowns on 238 yards rushing against Alvarado.

Max Preps named Wadley to their 2015 Medium Schools All-American Team, and the Forth Worth Star-Telegram’s second team all-area was another honored garnered by the talented back.

With Peyton Pickett possibly out of the picture, Wadley fills the immediate need of running back depth, and gives UTEP commit number 13.
