Both Kennedale soccer programs are headed to the playoffs next week while the Wildcats/Softball bats went cold too soon in district losses to Mineral Wells on Tuesday. {{more: Continue…}}
 
SOCCER ? #1 LadyKats (18-0-1, 10-0) wrapped an undefeated district season, their second consecutive, by defeating Diamond Hill 5-0 Tuesday evening. They will play a non-conference game Tuesday against Grapevine HS at 6pm as a warm-up for the start of UIL 4A Soccer playoffs next week.
 
SOCCER ? Wildcats (8-6-6, 4-4-2) completed their season Tuesday by losing a tough match against Diamond Hill-Jarvis 1-0. The Cats have doubled their wins from last year and have cut their losses from the previous year from 15 to six this year. The Wildcats will start the playoffs next week in their 3rd consecutive appearance in the post-season state soccer tournament – date and place TBA.
 
SOFTBALL ? The Lady Kats (4-11, 1-2) dropped a district game against Mineral Wells Tuesday 9-3. The Kats led most of the game but the Lady Rams score 9 unanswered runs over the last two innings. The Kats will return to action Thursday at home vs Castleberry with a game time set for 6:30 p.m.
 
BASEBALL ? The Wildcats (6-7, 0-1) started district play Friday, losing a battle against Mineral Wells at Mineral Wells 6-4. The Cats had 8 hits to 9 for the Rams. Up next, the Cats will host Castleberry on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
 
POWERLIFTING ? Four Lady Kats will be competing at the state championship meet this Friday at Taylor County Exposition Center ? 1700 Hwy 36, Abilene, Tx. Competing are Erica Rico, Kylee Howard, Alissa Boubel and Erlyna Morgan.
