04/05 – Reckless Damage – At 1:46 a.m. officers responded to a report of a damaged mailbox. A homeowner in the neighborhood stated that he had a verbal altercation with a house guest. The guest left the home while still upset and accelerated too fast around a corner. The guest struck a neighbor’s mailbox and knocked it over, then left the scene. The resident provided officers with the contact information of the suspect and his wife was contacted. She stated that they would take care of the mailbox damage and gave the officers their information. The information was passed along to the person looking after the property for the owners.
 
04/06 – Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information – At 12:05 p.m. a victim reported that he and his wife were unable to file a tax return due to their information already being used to file a fraudulent claim with the IRS.
 
04/07 – Burglary – At 3:49 p.m. officers responded to a report of a burglary. The victim reported that while he was out of town for a work assignment, person(s) unknown forcibly entered his home and removed multiple electronic items. No value was given at the time of the report.
 
04/10 – Assault Family Violence – officers responded to a domestic assault. A female reported that during an argument, her husband pushed her into a wall and choked her by the neck. The husband was arrested at the scene and transported to the jail for booking. An emergency protective order application was filled out by the victim.
 
04/10 ? Forgery – At 8:00 a.m. a victim reported that his wife’s identifying information was used to file a fraudulent income tax return.
 
04/11 – Possession of Controlled Substance – At 1:30 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle for erratic driving. During the interview, officers obtained information to ask for consent to search the vehicle. While searching the vehicle, the officers located methamphetamine as well as paraphernalia used to smoke the narcotic. The driver was arrested for the drug based on it being found in his immediate grasp. He was booked into jail without incident.
 
04/11 – Assault Family Violence (Bodily Injury) – At 5:55 p.m. officers responded to a reported disturbance. Officers were met by a female victim who stated that her live-in boyfriend had assaulted her on the day before. The suspect prevented the victim from calling police at the time of the assault. The victim left and sought treatment at a care clinic for her injuries before returning home. A second argument ensued on this date. The suspect was attempting to take the victim’s car to leave when police were called. He was charged with the family violence and with preventing the 911 call.
