a little history …

Although the Kennedale school system dates back to the late 1800?s, when it had a couple of elementary classrooms that met only a few months each year, Kennedale didn?t graduate its first high school class until 1957. In 1968, the high school was moved from its original site on Bus 287 (in the complex that now houses the KISD Administration Special Programs) to 930 Corry Edwards Drive, the current site of Kennedale Junior High. The high school moved to the present location at 901 Wildcat Way during spring break of 1999. Since then the campus has been expanded to include additional classrooms on the first floor, a second story classroom addition, a new performance auditorium with a new band hall, additional gym space, an indoor practice facility along with an additional field house and training facilities.
