Whitehouse, with a TEA Snapshot enrollment of 1,409 last year, is a 5A team in District 17-5A. Whitehouse Wildcats were predicted to finish near the bottom in the six team district that includes Ennis, Corsicana, Nacogadoches, Lindale and Jacksonville.
 
With a record of 2-8 last year, the Whitehouse team is making some waves by sporting a 3-1 record this year so far. The Wildcats from Whitehouse have defeated 5A Hallsville 28-15 (0-4), 4A Chapel Hill (1-3) 34-7, 5A Sulphur Springs (1-3) 49-31 while losing a game against 4A Carthage (3-0) 23-13.

Whitehouse likes to toss the ball around. In their first four games, they have averaged 206 yards through the air while staying on the ground for a 98 yard average per game. Whitehouse junior quarterback #16 Jake Clemons has thrown for 454 yards competing 26 of 45 throws (.543) for 6 touchdowns and no interceptions. Primary target has been #11 Zach Parker (Sr) with 23 receptions for 352 yards and 5 TDs. Parker is followed by #7 Fiver Trimble with 15 receptions, 148 yards and 1 TD. #8 Clayton Cook (Jr) is their biggest gainer on the ground with a total of 189 yards on 18 carries (10.5 per) and 1 TD.

On defense, #5 Isaac Little (Sr) is a standout linebacker with 42 tackles (29 solo) this season. But after missing some earlier playing time, linebacker #34 Brylon Shackelford (Sr) has 27 tackles (20 solo). Last year he had 89 tackles for the team. He also runs the ball for short yardage on offense.
 
Overall Whitehouse has 33 tackles for loss this season with 14 sacks, 13 quarterback hurries, caused 5 fumbles with 17 passes defensed.

Kennedale should have safety Ector Rivera (Sr) back this week coming off an ankle injury. If he is at full speed, expect to see him in a lot of the action with Whitehouse?s throwing game.
