The Kennedale Wildcats (24-6, 6-0) are up one in the TABC polls at #13 and are undefeated in in district play with two games to play. The Cats have outscored their last 3 opponents 215-119.
 
The Wildcats’ last two games in the regular season are both home games this week. Tuesday night the Wildcats play Alvarado and Friday is Venus. Varsity game time is 8 p.m. both nights. {{more}}

Venus, January 30 (W)
 
Kennedale traveled to Venus and came home with a 59-47 district win. It wasn?t an easy win. The Bulldogs (13-12) from Venus played tough in the first half. Kennedale took Q1 21-15 but Venus outscored the Wildcats in the Q2 to take a 1 point lead into halftime 30-29. Kennedale could only muster 8 points in the second quarter. After halftime Kennedale managed to control the game better and stretching their 3rd quarter lead of 5 points to 12 at the end of the game.
 
Leading in scoring was VJ Hughes with 20 followed by Colton Otts (12), Blake Ingram (11), Darius Hammond (7), Quardriaz Wadley (6), Kole Holenberger (2), and TJ Davis (1).
 
Diamond Hill-Jarvis, February 3 (W)

Playing at Fort Worth Diamond Hill, the last place Eagles were no match for the Kennedale Wildcats. Kennedale had a 55-13 halftime led by VJ Hughes 19 first halftime points. Eleven Wildcats scored in this game with the starters resting the second half. Kennedale won the game 91-27.
 
Hughes was the point leader with 26 followed by Quardraiz Wadley (15), Nick Autrey (12), Brandon Conwright (12), Colton Otts (8), Darius Hammond (6), Nolan Wixson (6), Blake Ingram (4), Kole Holenberger (2), Aaron Charez (1) and Logan Pickard (1).
 
Godley, February 6 (W)
 
Playing at Godley, Kennedale took an early lead 12-10 in the first quarter. Expanding on that lead the Cats outscored the Godley Wildcats 22-17 and took a 34-27 lead into half. The KCats had a big 3rd quarter limiting Godley to 8 points while scoring 19 points and leading 53-35. Kennedale finished off Godley by a score of 66-45.
 
VJ Hughes led Kennedale with 14 points followed by Brandon Conwright (13), Darius Hammond (12), Kole Holenberger (9), Blake Ingram (6), Colton Otts (6), T.J. Davis (4) and Dominque Doss (2).
