Wildcats close out regular season Friday with Senior Night

The last game of the regular season and the last home game is Friday night at Wildcat Stadium. ?(Playoffs start next week). ?It will be Senior Night which honors senior students and their parents who are part of the Wildcat Band, Football team, Cheer Squad and the Aristokats Drill team. ?{{more}}Pre-game activities start at 6:30 p.m. The ?Grand Champion? Marching Wildcat Band will do their tribute to senior bands members and parents at halftime.

Kennedale (5-4, 4-0) plays Mineral Wells (1-8, 1-3) at 7:30 p.m. Mineral Wells has struggled all season with just a lone win against Fort Worth Diamond Hill. They did play Castleberry close losing in the fourth 24-21. They lost to Lake Worth 16-6. It was 14-13 at halftime of the Springtown game before Springtown broke it open winning 35-19.

Mineral Wells does run and throw the ball. The total passing yards for the season is 810 yards on 201 attempts. The total rushing yards so far this year is 1211 for an average of 5.15 yards per carry. #6 DaShawon Hicks (Sr) accounts for 449 yards of that total (9.67 yds per) while #32 Tristan Seargeant (So) has 405 yards (6.33 yds per). The receiving yards are spread out among several players: #21 Colby Kissinger (Sr) with 155 yards on 12 receptions; #13 Kelly Williams (Sr) with 120 yards on 17 catches; and, #19 Omery Trevino with 98 yards on 11 catches.

Kennedale will have to stay focus to keep from being surprised by a team that has everything to win in their last game of the football season.?
