The UIL state-semifinalist Kennedale Wildcats (11-4) were the big winners in the 5-4A All-District football team with 22 selections. {{more:Read more …}}
 
Senior linebacker Baron Browning, who has committed to play his college football at Ohio State, was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the district.
 
 
Six other Wildcats were selected for Superlative Awards included senior defensive tackle Gjemar Daniels as Co-Defensive MVP, junior kicker Kevin Tiero as Co-Special Teams MVP, sophomore Evan Jowers as Offensive Newcomer of the Year, junior Andrew Flanagan as Offensive Line MVP, and junior David Roper as Utility Player MVP.
 
 
 
Earning first team honors for the Wildcats were sophomore running back D.J. Kirven, junior fullback Jaden Knowles, senior tight end Tyler Alphin, junior center Brett Bostad, senior offensive tackle Colton Hall, senior defensive tackle Aaron Williams, senior defensive end Cody Gillespie, junior defensive end Mayfield Hayes, senior linebacker Michael Landers, junior linebacker Devan Mason and junior cornerback Larry Brooks.
 
 
 
In addition, other Wildcats earned second-team honors. On offense the list included sophomore tackle Isaiah Butler and on defense junior lineman Ricardo Pena, sophomore linebacker Kade Stephenson, junior safety Ector Rivera and senior cornerback Malik Burgess.
 

 
The Kennedale Wildcat coaching staff was also named as the Staff of the Year.
 
Kennedale has now won their 5th straight district title and has not lost a district game in five years, an undefeated streak of 25 straight games.
