Wildcats travel to Lake Worth to take on the Bullfrogs Friday night

The Kennedale Wildcats will play the Lake Worth Bullfrogs at Bullfrog Stadium in Lake Worth Friday night. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Since moving to District 6-3A last year, Kennedale (4-4, 3-0) has not lost a district contest. The Wildcats want to up the undefeated string to 8-0 this week against the Bullfrogs (5-3, 2-1). {{more}}

In district play the Bullfrogs have claimed wins over Diamond Hill 60-7, Mineral Wells 16-7 and has one loss against Springtown 49-7 (last week).

The Bullfrogs were predicted to finish in 3rd place in the district this year after making the playoffs last year for the first time since 2009. This is the second year for Head Coach Tal Sanders taking the team for 1-9 to 5-6 in his first year.

Lake Worth favors a more balance attack average 327 yards per game (129 yards rushing and 198 passing per game) and has 36 total touchdowns. Kennedale averages 415 yard per game but almost all of it on the ground (375 rushing to just 40 passing yard per game) and 46 total touchdowns.

Quarterback #2 Kelton Versey (Sr) who has 856 total yards on 148 carries also has passed for 906 yards in 63 completions on 158 attempts. Lake Worth has used 3 quarterbacks this season but it is Versey who has accounted for almost half of Lake Worth?s yardage so far this season.

Kennedale has a dual rushing attack with Juwan Washington (Jr) carrying the most (174) gaining 1505 yards with 188 yard average per game. Donny Darville (Sr) is the second part of the rushing attack with 109 carries for 797 yards and 100 yard average per game.

Defensively the Wildcats are led by Hunter McGahan with total tackles of 52 followed by Jake Michener (Jr) with 46, Robert White (So) with 43 and Jose Payne (Sr) with 42 tackles.
