The Kennedale Wildcats (10-15, 5-3) will play the Decatur Eagles (19-8-1, 6-0) in a bi-district game in a ?best of three? bi-district UIL playoff game this weekend. {{more:[Read more]}}
 

Game 1 will be played at Decatur High School Friday night at 7:30 pm. Game 2 will be played on Saturday back home at Kennedale beginning at 5 pm. Game 3 if needed will follow after Game 2, same location. Directions

 
Decatur won the District 8-4A title over Springtown (20-11, 5-3), Bridgeport (11-10, 5-3), Castleberry (8-17, 2-6), and Lake Worth (1-16, 0-8).
 
Kennedale finished in a tie for 3rd place in District 7-4A with Godley winning the title at 20-2, 10-0 followed by Venus (12-7, 6-4), Kennedale (10-15, 5-5), Midlothian (8-15, 5-5), Alvarado (13-11-1, 4-6) and Diamond Hill (1-21, 0-10).
 
The Wildcats and the Eagles have played once this season on March 19, with the Eagles coming out on top 8-0. Other teams out of District 8-4A that the Wildcats have played this year were Bridgeport, winning 1-0, and Springtown winning 6-3. The Eagles lost to Godley early in the season, 2-1.
 
Decatur was an area finalist last year and returned 9 starters off of a 15-11-1, 6-2 team. Kennedale was an area finalist and returned 1 starter off of a 15-9, 9-3 team.
 
Expect to see Brayden Sewell and Jordan Pough on the mound for the Wildcats in the first two games.
