Kennedale travels to Glen Rose (14-11) to play game two at 12 noon today, Saturday, with game three to follow, if necessary at Glen Rose. The Glen Rose Tigers finished in 4th place in a strong district behind Godley (22-1), Midlothian Heritage (19-5) and Stephenville (12-11). This is the first time the Wildcats and the Tigers have played this season.

  • Aaron Herrera came in relief in the 7th followed by Ethan Wood who closed out the game with the bases loaded. Wood, on a 2-3 count, got the final out on a fielder’s choice grounder to third base (Jared Taylor).?
  • Austin Crabtree helped solidify the Wildcats lead in the second with a triple along with 7 other Cats who connected with the ball during 6 innings at the plate.?
  • Cade Thompson led all hitters by going 3-3 at the plate earning an RBI and scoring twice. Others getting multiple hits were Bryce Hackett 2-4 with an RBI and JD Padgett 2-4, 1 RBI and a run. Other Cats getting RBIs were Crabtree with 2 who walked once and scored twice. Aaron Herrera 1 RBI, a walk and a run. Ethan Wood with an RBI. Reed Saenz hit a single, walked once and scored once.
