The Wildcats played district opponent Diamond Hill one week ago winning 12-1. Kennedale then took advantage of an open date in the district schedule to set up a game against non-district opponent Grandview on Saturday and won 6-3. Monday of this week, the Cats blew-out district opponent Lake Worth 12-1.

Kennedale will return to district play this Thursday with a game against Springtown. The Porcupines are 2-2 in district play with wins against Diamond Hill and Mineral Wells and losses to Benbrook and Castleberry.

  • Grandview scored one in the 4th and 2 in the 6th but went down 1-2-3 in the 7th inning with a fly out, a ground out and a pop out.?
  • Kennedale had 6 runs on 7 hits with no errors while Grandview had 3 runs on 6 hits with 3 errors.
  • Bryce Hackett went 5 innings on the mound for the Cats. He faced 19 batters throwing 51 strikes in 84 pitches (.607), striking out 7, walking 1 allowing 4 hits and 1 run.?

  • The Cats went on to score 4 more in the second to take a 5-0 lead over the Lake Worth with hits by Bryce Hackett, Cade Thompson, Luke Michener and a double by Reed Saenz.
  • Lake Worth managed their one and only run in the 3rd. Lake Worth finished the game with 1 run on 4 hits.
  • Kennedale tallied another run in the 4th off a single by JD Padgett before they blew the game open with 6 runs in the fifth inning. Wildcats knocking in runs in the inning were Ethan Wood, Luke Michener, Jace Warren, Tyler Aguilar, and Aaron Herrera.
