Andrew Jackson Houston, 84, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Mansfield Methodist in Mansfield, Texas.  He was born on September 9, 1937 in Mead, Oklahoma to Eariless McCoy Houston and Margie Loueva (Sinor) Houston.

A.J. grew up in Oklahoma.  He graduated from Mansfield High School in Mansfield, Texas in 1955.  After high school he began working for Convair General Dynamics Aircraft and Lockhead Martin until he retired in 2014.

A.J. married Dorothy Anita Curry of Kennedale, Texas in Gainesville, Texas on July 14, 1956.  They were happily married for 65 years.  He enjoyed gardening and knife collecting.  He received several work service awards.

A.J. was preceded in death by his parents, Eariless and Margie Houston; brother, Frank Houston; and eldest son, Keith Houston.

A.J. is survived by his spouse, Dorothy Houston of Arlington; sons, Kevin (Misti) Houston of Mansfield, Texas, Kreig (Tammy) Houston of Fort Worth, Texas, Kent (Renee) Houston, daughter in law Kerry Houston; sisters, Donetta Terrell of Alvarado, Texas, Beverly McDaris of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Austin (Molly), Colton (Ann-Marie), Tanner (Fiancée Sam), Karson, Landon and Kaitlin, Justin wife Kayla, Darren wife Victoria, Colton, Kailyn (Brady), Braden (Fiancée Caitlin), Meranda, Joshua (Amanda), Meghan (Will), Neela; great grandchildren, Cason, MaKenzie Lynn, Adalynne, Holden, Theodore, Finneas, HoneyGrove, Lincoln, William, Jaxon, Mason, Elizabeth, Remi; and seventeen nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service for A.J. will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 11:00AM at Life Fellowship Church (611 Little School Road, Kennedale, Texas 76060) with interment to follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale.  The family will receive friends and family for visitation on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 6:00-8:00PM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale, Texas.
