The Kennedale Wildcats refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Liberty Hill, recording a 13-0 victory on Saturday at Waco.??Seven runs in the first three innings allowed the Wildcats to put the game away early. ?The Wildcats’ Justin Jakubisin kept Liberty Hill off the scoreboard for all five innings he was on the hill. ??An RBI single by Austin Hunt and an RBI single by Chayce Coltharp in the second inning helped the Kennedale put some runs on the board early.?The Wildcats tacked on another five runs in the third with singles by Brett Hunt, Austin Hunt, Chayce Cotharp, Zake Michener plus a double by Zac Michener.? Josh Taylor hit a sacrifice fly scored Brett Hunt for the inning’s first run.?The Wildcats added two more runs in the top of the fourth. A error scored Zac Michener to get the Cats on the board in the inning after he led off with a double. Jay Thomas scored on a pass ball for the second run.?The Kennedale increased their lead with four runs in the fifth. Brett Taylor started the inning with a single, plating Coltharp and Jake Michener. That was followed up by Jay Thomas‘s double, plating Zac Michener.?Zac Michener had two extra-base hits for the Kennedale. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third and fourth innings.?The Wildcats will play a best of three against Lubbock Cooper HS at Foster Field in San Angelo, Friday at 7 pm. The second game will be on Saturday same field at 12 noon.
