Callie Evans is a 7th Grader at Kennedale

Junior High School. She is the starting running back on the 7th Grade White Team {{more:Read more …}}for the junior high wildcats and she knows what she is doing.

Tuesday night Caelie scored a touchdown on 32 yard run off the right tackle, helping the Wildcats beat Kaufman 14-0.

At 4’11” tall, Caelie is one of the smallest players on the team, but as we say, “It’s not the size of the Wildcat in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the Wildcat.”

When asked, why she chose to play football, she will tell you that she “doesn’t like the drama” in other sports. Caelie is a fierce competitor who also plays on a select baseball team in the area where she is a pitcher, catcher, and first basemen. Caelie is the only female on her select team.

Now, looking back through the records at KJHS, we don’t know if Caelie was the first female in KJHS history to score a touchdown. But, there is one thing that we do know….this won’t be the last touchdown scored by a female at KJHS. After all, we are only one game into the season.

And, that’s how we show our Wildcat Pride!
