The U.S. Flag Code states, “The flag, when it is in

such a condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be

destroyed in a dignified way, preferable by burning.” After the flag has

Boy Scout Troop and Cub Pack 35 will provide that

opportunity for the public in its 11th annual American Flag Retirement

Ceremony at Sonora Park in Kennedale, Monday, November 9, 2015 beginning at 7

p.m.

The public is invited to watch as Troop members honor the

American Flag by properly disposing of old and/or worn flags.

Veterans and first responders are especially welcomed to

this time honored ceremony.

For those who have an old flag at their business or home

that you would like dispose, bring it to the retirement ceremony on Monday or

drop it off at the Boy Scout Hut at the corner of Spiller and Broadway at 200 W

Broadway in Kennedale.
