Recognizing that some students need the personal contact and the daily schedule that schools normally provide, the staff at KHS is concerned that some students will consider giving up.?
?
KHS Principal Michael Cagle posted the following information regarding help and assistance that is available to the students and parents at Kennedale High School through two school counselors and one social worker.

During the COVID-19 closure, KHS will continue to offer counseling services to students in need. KISD is committed to providing students and families with assistance during this unprecedented time, when anxiety and stress levels are high.
?
KHS Counselors have Virtual Office Hours each day.
?
On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, KHS Counselors have set aside the dedicated hours of 9:00 am-10:00 am and 2:00 pm-3:00 pm to respond to the needs and questions of our students and parents.?
On Wednesdays and Thursdays, KHS Counselors are available from 8:00 am-9:00 am and 1:00 pm-2:00 pm. If students and parents are not available during these times, we recommend contacting your counselor via email to set an appointment.?
KHS has two counselors: Kim Hunt (Grades 9-10) and Dawn Ramirez (Grades 11-12). You can reach Ms. Hunt at huntk@kisdtx.net and Ms. Ramirez at ramirezd@kisdtx.net.

KHS also has a Social Worker, through our partnership with the Community in Schools (CIS) of Greater Tarrant County. The KHS CIS Social Worker is Garyanisha Thomas, who can be reached at cistarrant@kisdtx.net or 940-536-3758.
