Leslie Galloway, Kennedale City Secretary and Communication Coordinator issued the following information about a closure on Friday of the railroad crossing on Dick Price Road. {{more: continue …}}
 
“Today, Wednesday, November 15, 2017, Union Pacific requested an emergency closing of the railroad crossing near Dick Price Road and Kennedale Parkway on Friday, November 17, 2017.
 
Exact times for the start/end of the closure are unknown. However, it is expected to be reopened on Saturday, November 18th.
 

Detour signs will be in place to redirect traffic. Please share this information with your neighbors.” View the detour plan for Friday at http://www.cityofkennedale.com/detour

 
Larry Hoover. Kennedale City Public Works Director, provided some additional information saying the following in a message relayed to the Kennedale News.

“Typically (Union

Pacific) should … use electronic message boards, flyers, and/or go

door-to-door in the immediate area. The railroad crossing is in need of repairs

and was actually temporarily repaired yesterday (Tuesday, November 14) due to

damage to one of the panels.”
