KHS Outdoor Education teacher and team sponsor, Danny Wilcox, has posted a letter addressing those who have participated this year in the KHS Archery team. In the post he cited both accomplishments and unfinished business.? {{more: continue …}}

Accomplishments this year ??

  • Kennedale Archery team set history by winning the first TEAM trophy at the Brock Tournament with a 3rd place finish.
  • KHS student, Lafe Ledbetter, won a $250 scholarship and a 3rd place trophy in the HS Men?s Division in the same tournament.
  • This year?s team set a new school record with a score of 3,299 with 4-5 kids not available to shoot on that day.

The state tournament has been rescheduled for May 19-20, 2020. (Last year, KHS finished 10th in the state). Nationals have been cancelled. (Last year the school had their first qualifier for Nationals).

?We may never know the true potential of what could have been achieved this year…that is all still up in the air. But it is important to recognize the hard work of all our kids this year,? said Wilcox.?
