Dalton Vondra (TE, 6-5, 250) who is a 2013 graduate from Kennedale High School has signed to play with Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX.
 
Dalton who had earlier signed with Air Force made the switch in schools at semester of this year to be back in Texas. The following is reprinted from the recruiting bios released by Tarleton State on Tuesday, February 5, 2014. {{more}}

Dalton joins the Texans this spring after spending a semester at Air Force Prep. Dalton was a highly recruited TE out of Kennedale where he played under Head Coach Richard Barrett. Dalton will be a big target for the Texan QB’s from the TE position. Coming out of high school he was rated a 2-Star Prospect by Rivals and a 3-Star prospect by 247Sports.
 
Tarleton State is a member of the NCAA II Lone Star Conference which is made of universities across Texas and Eastern New Mexico State. The Texans are coming off a 7-3 season where they went 5-1 in the Lone Star Conference and earned the school’s third conference title. It was Tarleton’s first conference title since the 2009 season.
 
Travanti Downes, a 2013 Kennedale High School graduate, plays on the Lady Texans Basketball team.
