Kennedale PD issues incident reports for January 18-24

The following are the recorded incidents reported by Kennedale Police officers for the week of January 18-24. Incidents ranged from theft of a go-cart, ATV and copper wiring to several break-ins and a reckless driving report. {{more}}
 

01/19 – Theft $1,500 to $20,000 – 600 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 8:02 a.m. a victim reported that a go-cart was stolen from his yard. The go-cart was secured by a chain, which had been cut. The vehicle was valued at $1,700.00.

01/21 – Theft $1,500 to $20,000 – 600 block of Little School Road: At 1:48 p.m. a complainant reported that person(s) unknown removed copper wiring from an AT&T cell site.

01/21 – Theft $1,500 to $20,000 – 6800 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 12:30 p.m. a victim reported that his ATV was stolen from a flatbed trailer in his yard. The ATV was stolen during the overnight hours. A suspect was listed.

01/22 – Burglary – 200 block of Village Street: At 3:38 p.m. a victim reported that a storage building was broken into at the KYA ball fields. The only items removed were two brass water hose connectors valued at $20.00.

01/23 – Burglary – 900 block of Harrison Lane: At 3:24 p.m. officers responded to a burglary in progress. Officers made contact with a male and female who had entered an unsecured, vacant home to assess damage. The male stated that he knew the owner and wanted to estimate a cost to repair extensive past damage from tenants and then rent the house from the owner. The owner was contacted and did not want to pursue charges.

01/24 – Reckless Driving – 200 block of S. New Hope Road: At 10:52 a.m. officers were dispatched to a reckless driving complaint. The reporting person stated that her children were at the park with some friends and had a disagreement with another group of children. The second group’s mother showed up and scolded the first group of children, allegedly for urinating into a bicycle helmet belonging to one of her children. The mother then allegedly chased the first group of children with her vehicle. A witness was contacted who stated that he saw the vehicle arrive and the mother speaking to the children, but did not see the vehicle chase any children. The parties were directed to avoid each other it the future as this is apparently part of an ongoing dispute.

01/24 – Burglary – 400 block of Rolanda Lane: At 2:16 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown removed power tools and a bicycle from his garage. The victim stated that the garage is open most of the day, every day. The items were valued at $1,000.00.
