The Kennedale Police Department reported the following 18 incidents for the two week period September 1, 2019, through September 14, 2019. The reports included obscene language, theft, criminal mischief, unlawful carry, public intoxication, forgery, narcotics possession, assault, and fraudulent use of ID. {{more: continue …}}

These reports and others were in addition to on-going investigations. These do not include calls where no report was written. Some of the offenses, after further investigation, may have been deemed unfounded.

Police Reports: 09/01/19 ? 09/07/19 …

9/1 ? D.O.C. Obscene Language -?Oakwood Lane …?At 3:43 p.m. an officer responded to a call of a complainant. An adult female reported that when she left her residence earlier, another adult female who lives in a neighboring property began using profanity toward her. The complainant stated that her juvenile son was with her and that she was offended that he had to hear the foul language. Upon attempting to make contact with the female suspect, the suspect?s husband answered the door but refused to allow the officer access to interview his wife. The officer cleared and later issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct (Obscene Language) to be mailed to the suspect. The incident was recorded on the victim?s security system.

9/2 ? Criminal Mischief $750 to $2,500 -?W. Kennedale Parkway …?At 5:19 p.m. an officer responded to a criminal mischief complaint. A victim reported that unknown person(s) used an unknown object to break out a window. The window was valued at $800.00.

9/3 ? Public Intoxication -?W. Kennedale Parkway …?At 1:13 a.m. officers responded to a report of an intoxicated person in a business. Officers found an adult male sitting on the floor who appeared to be highly intoxicated on alcohol. The male was known to the officers from prior contacts. He was arrested and transported to jail for booking.

9/3 ? Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Info -?N. Little School Road … At 12:19 p.m. officers responded to a theft in progress. Arlington police had observed three suspects (two male, one female) running from a video game store with several backpacks. The suspects entered a white Ford sedan driven by a fourth suspect, a female. The Arlington officer stopped the vehicle to investigate if a theft had just occurred. After determining that a theft had occurred, Kennedale officers were called. The three suspects who ran from the store were arrested for theft. The driver of the vehicle experienced a medical emergency and was released to paramedics pending an arrest warrant being issued.

9/4 ? Assault -?E. Kennedale Parkway …?At 2:13 p.m. officers responded to an assault call. Witnesses reported that a known male had begun arguing with a female and the suspect picked the female up, forcing her into the vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene before officers arrived. Witness statements were taken.

9/5 ? Incident (Other) -?Wildcat Way …?On this date, a school resource officer received a Crime Stopper tip that a student had a dab device at school. The student was pulled from class to be interviewed by the school staff. The student admitted to bringing the device but did not have it when interviewed. The device apparently passed through several students before being found. The device was empty and contained no residue of contraband.

9/5 ? Drugs/Narcotics -?W. Kennedale Parkway …?At 6:09 p.m. officers responded to a call about multiple people involved in a fight. On arrival, officers were able to determine that an adult male was driving a gold SUV in Fort Worth when the driver struck a street light standard. The vehicle continued driving into Kennedale and pulled into a business parking lot. Witnesses to the accident had followed the male to the location and confronted him as he picked up a female with an infant in a car seat. When confronted the suspect assaulted both an adult female and male. During the initial interview, officers determined that the suspect had a large bag of marijuana in his front pocket. He was arrested for the marijuana. He was transported to jail for booking.

9/6 ? Violation of Bond/Protective Order -?Sonoma Drive … Officers responded to a known male attempting to break into a residence. The male was located in the back yard and was determined to have a warrant for violation of a protective order issued for him. The male was arrested and transported to jail for booking.

Police Reports: 09/08/19 ? 09/14/19 …

9/08 ? Criminal Mischief $100 to $750 -?Tealpond Drive …?At 12:00 p.m. an officer received a report of a broken window. Person(s) unknown broke out a bedroom window on the victim?s residential apartment. The weapon used was a rock.

9/08 ? Incident (Other) -?Wilson Road …?At 6:20 p.m. officers responded to assist a Tarrant County Sheriff?s deputy on a domestic disturbance. An adult male was reported to have assaulted his wife. Arriving officers met with the wife, who stated that she had been strangled by the suspect. The suspect was not on scene when officers arrived but was located a short distance away. He was taken into custody for transport to jail.

9/09 ? Forgery -?E. Kennedale Parkway …?At 9:03 a.m. a victim reported that a male attempted to pass a counterfeit $10 bill for merchandise. The bill was refused and the suspect left. A vehicle description was provided.

9/10 ? Assault by Contact?…?At 6:15 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female advised that she had gotten into an altercation with her adult son. The son assaulted the mother as he grabbed her cell phone to prevent her from calling for assistance from a family member. He was arrested for the assault and transported to jail for booking.

9/11 ? Stolen License Plate -?Eden Road …?At 10:05 a.m. an officer stopped a 2016 Lamborghini for a traffic violation. The vehicle, which had a stolen license plate displayed, was driven by a male who stated that he was detailing the vehicle for the owner. The driver?s story was confirmed but the owner could not be contacted. The plate was seized as evidence and the vehicle, which did not show to be stolen, was released at the scene.

9/11 ? Incident (Other) -?Sublett Road …?At 10:20 a.m. an officer received a report of 25 stolen bronze flower urns from a cemetery.

9/13 ? Application for Mental Detention and Observation?…?At 9:30 a.m. a school resource officer was approached by a juvenile female student. The student reported having thoughts of harming herself. After speaking with the female and her family, the officer determined that she was, in fact, a threat to herself. She was detained for an emergency mental evaluation and transported to JPS Hospital.

9/13 ? Theft, Possession of Controlled Substance -?W. Kennedale Parkway …?At 12:36 p.m. officers responded to a theft complaint. Two gas well employees reported that they had been tracking stolen batteries taken from a gas well site in Crowley. They had tracked the items to Apache Auto Salvage on Kennedale Parkway. The batteries were equipped with GPS. A male was observed loading batteries out of a gray Nissan Altima. When approached by an officer, the male fled into the business and was apprehended by the officer. It was determined that the male had removed the batteries form the well site and took them directly to the salvage business. A female accomplice was located nearby and detained. During the interview of the suspects, they were found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Both were arrested and transported to jail for booking. The male was charged with the theft and the narcotics, and the female was charged with theft. They were both charged with tampering with an oil/gas rig as well.

9/14 ? Unlawfully Carrying Weapon -?N. Little School Road …?At 3:13 a.m. officers responded to a welfare check. A vehicle was parked at a bank drive-thru in a precarious position and the driver appeared to be asleep. The male driver was awakened and stated that he had been drinking when he decided to park his vehicle. Officers observed a loaded handgun in the floorboard of the vehicle. The handgun was seized as evidence and the driver was arrested for the weapon. He was transported to jail for booking.

9/14 ? Assault by Contact -?S. New Hope Road … At 12:40 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male victim reported that his wife (suspect) had assaulted him during an argument while he was trying to get some personal items and leave the house. The wife admitted to pushing the victim. She was cited for the assault by contact. After collecting his things, the victim left the residence.
